Township Receives WCMA Nomination

The Western Canadian Music Awards are coming to our hometown Edmonton this year, October 16–19. Today the nominations for the Artistic Awards categories were announced, and the Industry Awards nominations were also announced on the website (http://www.westerncanadianmusicawards.ca).
We are really pleased to announce that our own Glen Erickson, band member, label boss, and resident designer, has been nominated for Outstanding Design for his work on Township, released by The Wheat Pool last September 2007. We have alway been really proud of the CD and the thematic design which incorporates photos taken across western Canada by Glen and bandmate Mike Angus. It is a real honor to have the work recognized by our governing music associations.
A tip of the hat goes to our friend and labelmate, Nick Perreault, who had his outstanding design work for James Murdoch’s ‘In Transit’ also recognized in a nomination for this award.
